Creating a client if your customer connects to Newzik using an email address
First step of a contract creation tunnel: entering the contracts ID and the client information.
Contract ID: An internal reference number or code for your own tracking. It can match your regular paper transactions tracking numbers. E.g.: MyFirstContract123
Client Name: Name your client as you want, to make sure you know what orchestra/ensemble/individual you are sending the content to. E.g.: Orchestra123
Newzik account: This is the private email address of the client's Newzik Account (Newzik App or Newzik Web). This information is mandatory and shall be given to you by the client (they can find this information in their Newzik App Account Information).
If the client doesn't have a Newzik account in the first place, you shall invite them to create one using their email address (not Facebook or Apple):
- By downloading the App on the App Store
- By registering on Newzik Web
Note: the system only recognizes email addresses of existing Newzik accounts, and will display a warning message if the email is not associated with a registered Newzik user.Creating a client if your customer connects to Newzik using Facebook or an Apple Id
The above procedure works only for Newzik users that connect to their Newzik account using their email / password credentials pair.
If your customer uses Facebook or Apple Id login, you can ask your customer for their Newzik ID. The Newzik ID is an identifier that uniquely identifies your customer within Newzik users.
Follow this procedure to create a client using a Newzik ID:
1. Instruct your customer to retrieve and send his Newzik ID
Direct your customer to the Account section of Newzik Web : https://web.newzik.com/account
The Newzik ID can copied from this screen:
2. In your PWP, go to the Clients screen, click on the "New" button
3. Fill the modal, including the Newzik ID provided by your customer, and create the new client
4. Your customer is now available when selecting the Existing client option in the Contact Information step of a contract creation
